Access in Low-Income Countries

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) is committed to ensuring that health care professionals worldwide have access to its groundbreaking, rigorously reviewed, and scientifically important research published weekly.

In low-income countries where resources are limited, NEJM provides free full-text access to using Geo-IP (recognition of regionally based IP addresses) and free or low-cost full-text access through its partnership with Research4Lifes Access to Research in Health (Hinari) program.

In determining which countries qualify for such access, NEJM generally follows eligibility criteria established by Research4Life.
